“When I set out to buy my first home, I was a bit nervous because I had no idea what I was in for with such a big commitment. I didn’t have much experience to draw upon since I never previously owned any property. NACA was great because they walked my through the process every step of the way. Every aspect was covered. The first workshop, realtor, mortgage consultant and HAND department were helpful through the entire purchase process. The hard part is the beginning, that truth and reality about your own financial situation. I didn’t like my mortgage consultant in the beginning. I wanted an instant loan! The mortgage process taught me patience and saving tools to rebuild my credit and got me out of debt, in order to obtain and sustain a monthly mortgage in which I am now very secure and happy. Once I started looking, my realtor was great at listening to what I wanted in neighborhoods and houses and she suggested neighborhoods that I might not have normally thought of but I found a house and a neighborhood that I absolutely love! In fact, I was already renting that house! My situation was indeed unique, I was actually living in the home that I purchased. NACA ushered me though every step of the
process as if I were buying a house anywhere on the market. The realtor gave me her honest opinion about what she looks for inside and outside of a house. Once I began the purchasing process, she continued to amaze me at her willingness to explain every step of the way and provide me with her
expertise throughout the entire process. The closing was flawless. Rehab is another story, you have to be vigilant and ask many questions. The HAND department answers all inquiries and will protect your interests throughout the entire time the
contractor is working. Patience, Perseverance and in the end, Satisfaction. I couldn’t be happier with my home and with working with NACA.
