My home buying experience with NACA, overall, was a surprisingly short but sweet journey! My husband and I went to the initial NACA workshop in early February, got NACA qualified by mid-March, and had our CTC (Loan Approval) by May. Throughout those 3 months we received almost daily updates from our NACA Mortgage Counselor, Irene Rosa, regarding what documents we needed to turn in, what the turn-around times were for various steps, and felt that she was on our side! I’d be lying if the process was not stressful, but buying a home is always stressful, and Irene helped us get through it all. NACA made our home ownership dream a reality! We are elated to have found the NACA program and are more than happy to volunteer and participate in whatever way we can to help NACA grow and help others like ourselves that yearn for a home to call their own.
