When my wife came to me with the NACA home ownership idea, I was a little bit skeptical about the chances for us to get the mortgage loan, given our credit history. However, given my wife’s enthusiasm, we began the NACA journey and yes it was a long one, because we had to be schooled in the art of budgeting, eliminating small credit card issues and proper banking practices.
Moreover, when we were finally approved, it was a dream come true, and an other journey of home shopping began. We went to different homes and places were homes were advertised. There were disappointments, misses along the way, and finally, we got lucky with the last home that we had put an offer. Today we are proud owners of a four bedroom single home with two car garage and low mortgage, low HOD, located in a good neighborhood.
