My name is Guadalupe Mejia. Today I am closing up my house with Olivia in Chicago title at the NACA Houston office. My counselor is Carl Williams and I purchased my house here in Houston, Texas for $237,000 with a 4.0% interest rate. I’ve been able to save up the money in order to help me purchase this house. I’ve been in the program for about a year now. I heard it through my older sister. She went through the program herself about five years ago and that’s how she got her purchase for the house she’s in right now. Any future advice I would say save up as much money as you can. Take a good chunk out of your paycheck so that way it seems like you’re paying rent but you’re sending that aside to save up so that way when you do get a house you’re not missing that big chunk of money right away because you’re already been saving it for the rent which is now your mortgage.
