After a fight with cancer and ending an 18 year relationship, I found myself wondering how I would start all over.  I found myself looking to buy a home of my own.  Wondering how I was going to be able to find a lender because of my situation of being on disability and not having a lot of money in the bank.  After being turned away by many different lenders and told that I could not buy a home of my own.  I was told to go to hap housing to take a first time home buyers class.  After completing the program hap gave me a flyer about a workshop for NACA.  I went to the workshop and everything changed for me.  I then had my first appointment with my NACA counselor Michelle.  We started the process to get me ready to buy a home.  And before I knew it, I got a call to tell me I was approved and ready to start looking for a home.  I looked at a few homes.  Then I found the home I loved.  NACA is why I am now a homeowner.  NACA made my dream come true.  If it was not for NACA I don’t know where I would be. NACA staff are now my family.  I love them all.  Thank you NACA!!!
