I want to start by saying that I was very skeptical about going through NACA’s home buyer program. No down payment!? No closing close?! Below market interest rates?! Seemed way too good to be true but we’ll give it a try. Christian and I attended the first workshop and were really motivated once we realized that this was no gimmick and we could meet all the qualifications. Our idea of home ownership was 3 years down the line, but through NACA we saw that this could happen in a matter of months. At that time we decided to go full steam ahead. Was it a challenge trying to balance work and getting NACA qualified? Yes. Did we spend long nights gathering the required documentation to make tight deadlines? Yes. Was it all worth is YES!! We are now home owners of a house that we never that we could afford. The mortgage consultants, real estate agent, and inspectors were extremely helpful in this journey. Through working with these individuals we gained money management skills through budgeting and saving and learned important critical things about how the home buying process works and are now able to relay that information on to our family, friends and community. NACA is an amazing home buying program and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much NACA!!
