NACA was one of the longest, most difficult processes we have ever gone through!  But a huge part of that is the fact that we were first time homebuyers and everything was so new to us.  Luckily, our counselor, Kraig, was absolutely amazing and was with us every step of the way.  our closing date kept getting pushed because of issues with the house and the bank, but NACA was our biggest advocate.  it’s important to remember not to get frustrated with them.  They really are our biggest advocate.  In the end, we look back, and it was completely worth the sleep less nights, the long conversations, the constant driving back and forth to LA office, and just stress from having everything up in the air. Now after all that, my wife and I can’t believe that we are about to go to our very own home!  We closed with 3%, which is insane.  My wife’s credit was pretty much non existent because we’re so young and I have a lot of student loans, but thanks to NACA’s financial counseling and budget, we know we can afford it and exactly how much we have to pay.  Stick with it!  It sounds fake, but its not, and it’s one of the best decisions we have ever made!
