This is Carolyn-Burroughs-Cohen, a proud homeowner.  With NACA’s assistance, I closed on my home March 30, 2016.  Even though I complained about how long it was taking, it was well worth the wait and I would do it all over again.  Believe me, I was kicking and screaming, but at the end of the day, I closed and got my dream home with little to no money down.
The most important thing I can tell another NACA member is to do exactly what you are asked to do by your agent, even if you have to repeat the same thing over and over again.  Make sure you have everything in order before you start house hunting.  NACA will let you know when you are approved and ready to write up a contract.  Do not jump the gun like I did.  I tried to write up a contract before I was officially approved.  Needless to say, I didn’t get the house and got very frustrated.  However, I’m so glad I wasn’t able to get that house, because I would have missed out on the home that I now have.  This is a process and you must be patient.  NACA agents have been doing this for a while and know what it takes to get you to the closing table.  Please do what you are asked to do and you will become a very happy homeowner in the end.
