We are the Stock family from Uniontown, OH.  Our NACA journey started four years ago when we were forced to sell our home in a short sale after a terrible drop in housing values.  Upon relocation to a new state, we were unable to buy a new home because our credit was damaged from an event that we could not control.

We longed to own a home again and not throw money away on rent.  A work colleague of my wife told her about this home mortgage option for moderate income people that had credit challenges.  We were skeptical at first, only knowing the ‘traditional’ ways to get a home loan and thought it was too good to be true, there must be a catch.

The process requires some effort, but it is very much worth it.  Our challenges were able to be overcome and our counselor walked us through every step of the process.  Start to finish, the five months of our process went by fast.  Because of NACA, we own a home that we are proud of, have good support and have a mortgage rate that is unbeatable.
